Service hours of the Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic:
Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Lunch break – from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays – off days
Special off days in the Republic of Azerbaijan are followings:
New Year – January 1-2
Day of National Mourning – January 20
International Women’s Day – March 8
Novruz Holiday – March 20-21
The Day of Victory on Fascism – May 9
The Day of Republic – May 28
The Day of Salvation – June 15
The Day of National Army – June 26
National Flag Day – November 9
The Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis – December 31
- Ramadan Holiday (2 days)*
- Qurban Holiday (2 days)*
* Depending on Islamic Hijri calendar the dates are changed anually.
If the holidays are on weekends, then the next day or days may be anounced as days off in accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The national holiday of the Republic of Azerbaijan is the Day of Republic – 28 May (1918).
Authorities of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic neither receive foreign delegates nor hold official meetings on weekends or halidays. It is not recommended for the diplomatic missions to hold official receptions or events on those days.
