On 8 April 2019, Mr. Vasif Talibov, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic met with Mr. Rustam Soli, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Sincerely welcoming the guest, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic gave brief information about the territories, boundaries, governance structure and economic development of the autonomous republic.

Mr. Chairman made remarks on the works done in the direction of enhancing production and export level, and providing energy and food security, as well as the development of agriculture and industry in the autonomous republic, despite being in the blockade regime.

Chairman of the Supreme Assembly mentioned the opportunities for the development of relations between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan and hailed the importance of the visit.

Thanking for warm hospitality, Mr. Ambassador Rustam Soli expressed his satisfaction over being in Nakhchivan.

Noting that the acquaintance with Heydar Aliyev's museum in Nakhchivan which made a deep impression, the diplomat recalled the initiatives of the Great Leader in terms of the development of relations between the two countries and noted the importance of enhancing the ties with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
