On 22 September 2021, Vasif Talibov, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of  Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic met with Sergio Osvaldo Perez Gunella, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Chairman of the Supreme Assembly made remarks on the relations between our countries, noting that Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was under blockade as a result of Armenia's occupation policy. Briefing the socio-economic development of the Autonomous Republic, the application of new technologies and Internet access, as well as the works done in the field of food and energy security, Chairman stressed the potential for developing relations, especially inter-university cooperation between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Argentina.

Thanking for the attention and sincere attitude, Sergio Osvaldo Perez Gunella expressed his pleasure to be in Nakhchivan. Emphasizing the importance of his visit to the autonomous republic, the diplomat said that Nakhchivan was very attractive for foreigners, and the development of the autonomous republic opened wide opportunities for cooperation in several areas.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and took a memorial photo.
