On 22 October 2021, Mr. Vasif Talibov, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic met with deligation led by Mr. Hildi Hamid, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Chairman of the Supreme Assembly made remarks on bilateral relations, recalled the participation of the Indonesian delegation in the events of Nakhchivan Capital of Islamic Culture in 2018, as well as the visits of Indonesian ambassadors to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Emphasizing that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, of which Indonesia is a member, supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in the Second Karabakh War, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly noted that the fruitful meetings will further strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Expressing gratitude for the hospitality, Hildi Hamid said he was honored to be in the autonomous republic which was developing comprehensively, describing it as a successful continuation of the policy of great leader Heydar Aliyev.

The ambassador noted that they attached great importance to the development of relations with the autonomous republic and wanted to apply the works done here in Indonesia through the exchange of experience.
