On 13 June 2018, Mr. Vasif Talibov, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic met with Mr. George Leuka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Sincerely welcoming the guest, Mr. Chairman expressed his satisfaction over meeting the Ambassador in Nakhchivan.

Highly appreciating bilateral relations between the two countries, Mr. Vasif Talibov proudly made remarks on the works done in the field of food and energy security in the autonomous republic.

Hailing development of cooperation between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Moldova, Mr. Chairman noted the potential for economic, trade, agriculture, industry, tourism and education, as well as the development of mutual relations between the businessmen and wished success to the ambassador in his future endeavors.

Expressing gratitude for the generous hospitality, Mr. George Leuka said he had information on the history and modern development of Nakhchivan.

The ambassador noted that his visit to the autonomous republic was important in terms of the discussion of cooperation opportunities and would spare no efforts in this area.
