On 17 May 2018, Mr. Vasif Talibov, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic met with Mrs. Ingrid Tersman, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Expressing His pleasure for seeing the Ambassador in Nakhchivan, Mr. Chairman mentioned the important role of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in terms of the development of the relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Sweden, and hailed beneficial cooperation within the programs of Tempus and Erasmus between Nakhchivan State University and higher schools in the Kingdom of Sweden. Noting the existence foreign relations and cooperation of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Mr. Vasif Talibov proudly made remarks on applying high-tech and appropriate potential for cooperation in tourism and other sectors in Nakhchivan.

Extending her gratitude for warm hospitality, Mrs. Ingrid Tersman expressed high satisfaction for being the first Swedish ambassador to visit Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Appreciating getting information about socio-economic development of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for boosting cooperation with the Kingdom of Sweden, Mrs. Ambassador pledged for doing her best in this field.

Mutually interesting issues were discussed during the meeting.
