On 1 June 2018, Mr. Vasif Talibov, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic met with Mr. Sanjay Rana, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Mr. Chairman expressed his satisfaction over the meeting again and apreciated it as the sign of the development of the bilateral relations.

Mr. Vasif Talibov highly appreciated Indian support within the international organizations to the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan as the result of building good relationships between the two sides.

Mr. Chairman noted that Nakchivan Autonomous Republic would make maximum efforts in order to boosting Azerbaijan-India cooperation.

Extending his gratitude for the generous hospitality, Mr. Sanjay Rana expressed his satisfaction over the visit to Nakhchivan on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan and witnessed the socio-economic and cultural development in the autonomous republic.

Hailing the events dedicated to the Nakhchivan-Capital of Islamic Culture (2018) and European Days in Nakhchivan this year, as the result of the successful development of the autonomous republic, the ambassador made remarks on the importance of expanding cooperation between India and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Mutually interesting issues were discussed during the meeting.
