On 6 December 2019, Mr. Vasif Talibov Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic received the delegation headed by Rza Tuna Turagay, Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey.

Sincerely welcoming the guests, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly expressed his respect and gratitude to Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey for his support to development of relations with Nakhchivan and the visit of the delegation.

Recalling the foundation of mutual relations between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Turkey by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in 1992, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly noted that military, educational, health and economic relations have been developing and Nakhchivan Trade House operates in Igdir.

Chairman of the Supreme Assembly noted that the Azerbaijani-Turkish relations are exemplary in accordance with the will of the Presidents, and expressed confidence that the visit of the delegation will be significant in terms of increasing the export potential of products of Nakhchivan to Turkey.

Mr. Rza Tuna Turagay, Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey extended his gratitude warm welcoming of his delegation and conveyed the greetings of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey to Chairman of the Supreme Assembly.

Highly appreciating the relations between our countries, Rza Tuna Turagay noted that the brotherly country attaches great importance to the development of relations with Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

The guest mentioned that Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic had a great development path in a short period of time, and it created great opportunities for the development of existing relations.

Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey stated that they attach great importance to increase the opportunities for export of products of Nakhchivan to Turkish markets, therefore the visit of the delegation would be important in this regard.
