On 4 December 2020, Mr. Vasif Talibov, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic met with Seyyed Abbas Mousavi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Sincerely welcoming the guest, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly congratulated Seyyed Abbas Mousavi on the occasion of beginning his diplomatic mission in our country. Mr. Vasif Talibov made remarks on the Azerbaijani-Iranian ties, as well as cooperation between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the neighboring provinces of Iran, and noted the prospects of bilateral relations.

Seyyed Abbas Mousavi expressed great satisfaction over his visit to Nakhchivan and meeting with Chairman of the Supreme Assembly. Conveying his congratulations to Chairman of the Supreme Assembly on the glorious victory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ambassador stated that Iran supports Azerbaijan and shares the joy of our people.

During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on certain issues of mutual interests.

Seyyed Ahmed Hosseini, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Nakhchivan also attended at the meeting.
