On 18 May 2021, Mr. Vasif Talibov, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic met with Zacharie Gross, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Chairman of the Supreme Assembly drew attention to the relations between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of France in the field of science, education and economic-trade. Noting that the French language is taught in 23 schools of the Autonomous Republic, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly made remarks on the researches conducted by Azerbaijan-France international expedition in Nakhchivan.

Expressing satisfaction over the visit to the homeland of national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Haydar Aliyev, Zacharie Gross thanked for the warm welcoming. Noting that the relations between two countries date back to the ancient times, Mr. Ambassador emphasized the importance of France's relations with Azerbaijan and its Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
