On 12 October 2017, Mr.Vusal Alakbarli, Deputy Head of the Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic met with Mr.Furio De Angelis, the Head of UNHCR in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Sincerely welcoming the guest, Deputy Head of Department gave comprehensive information about Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in terms of its integral territory, invariable borders and regionally remarkable role, as well as duties and responsibilities of the Department in the autonomous republic. During the meeting, Mr.Vusal Alakbarli proudly made remarks on the high living standards for refugee and IDP families in Heydarabad settlement of Sadarak district and Yeni Karki village of Kangarli district.

Thanking for warm welcome and generous hospitality, Mr.Furio De Angelis hailed noteworthy development and continuing construction works in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

At the end of the meeting, the sides had an exchange of view on several mutually interesting issues.
