Mr. Vasif Talibov, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic met with Mr. Bert Skufs, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Republic of Azerbaijan on 6 July 2017.

Sincerely welcoming the guest H.E. Mr. Chairman extended his congratulations to Mr. Ambassador on the occasion of his new appointment and wished him best successes in his future endeavors. Expressing the development of Nakhchivan-Belgium ties within the framework of the relationship between our countries, H.E. Mr. Chairman made remarks on the successful cooperation conducted in the fields of economic-trade and pharmacy, establishment of partnership in education and the significance of regular meetings held among businessmen from the two sides.

Thanking for warm welcome and generous hospitality, Mr. Ambassador emphasized the importance of his visit to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Expressing satisfaction over the relations between the Kingdom of Belgium and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Mr. Bert Skufs mentioned significant role of boosting bilateral relations within the interests of both sides and assured H.E. Mr. Chairman that he would make maximum efforts in this direction.

Current level of relations between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Belgium and further perspectives of development of existing ties were discussed during the meeting.
