On 15 November 2017, Hans Eberhart, accredited in Georgia and Azerbaijan, visited the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for the defense of the Swiss Confederation's Embassy in Turkey.

In the framework of the visit, the guest met with the Head of the Office of Department for Law Enforcement and Law Enforcement of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Jalil Rustamov, the deputy of the Nakhchivan Separate Combined Arms-Army, Major-General Teymur Eyyubov and Chief of the Border-Control Point of the “Nakhchivan” Separate Border Division, Ahmed Abbasov .

During the visit, the defense attache got acquainted with a number of historical monuments, cultural and health institutions of the autonomous republic.
