On 13 May 2019, Vusal Alakbarli, Head of Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic met with Mansour Airom, outgoing Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Nakhchivan.

Mansour Airom expressed his gratitude to the Government of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as Head of Department for the conditions created for the activities of the Consulate General and hailed the positive attitude of the people  in the Autonomous Republic.

        Head of Department highly appreciated the contributions of the Consul General to the development of mutual relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, noting that Mansour Airom's diplomatic activity in the autonomous republic embraced a significant period in terms of strengthening bilateral ties, and wished success to the Consul General in his future diplomatic activities.
