On 18 February, 2021 a meeting was held between Mr. Vasif Talibov, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the delegation led by Mr. Mojtaba Zonnour, Chairman of the National Security and External Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Chairman of the Supreme Assembly greeted the delegation and expressed satisfaction over seeing them in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Making remarks on the relations between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan and Iran, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation.

Mr. Mojtaba Zonnour noted his satisfaction over the meeting with Chairman of the Supreme Assembly and his visit to Nakhchivan. Noting that relations between the two countries are developing, the guest stated that Iran has always stood by Azerbaijan and congratulated Chairman of the Supreme Assembly on the historic victory of Azerbaijan.

         During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on certain issues of mutual interests.
